3rd Transnational Project Meeting & Final Conference in Portugal, 4-10/06/2022

Arcos de Valdeves and EPRALIMA hosted the last training course and final transnational project meeting & conference of the Heritage for Youth project.

The third meeting and the fourth training of the European Heritage FOR Youth Involvement project took place in Portugal from the 4th  (arrival)  to the 10th (departure) of June. The work took place from 5 to 9 June. During the training, the learners had the opportunity to develop numerous knowledge in the area of social entrepreneurship and ecotourism, as defined.

The participants arrived at Arcos de Valdevez and marveled at the magnificent landscapes, where green was the predominant color. It was precisely this scenario that served as the destination of this meeting and allowed all the principles of Ecotourism to work. Arcos de Valdevez is a village in which nature is your calling card, numerous investments have been made in the valorization and protection of environmental heritage, and only in this way can ecotourism develop.

The learners also visited one of the main promoters of social entrepreneurship, INCUBO. INCUBO has already participated in a social entrepreneurship project, namely the Laces project. The LACES project aims to contribute to the promotion and consolidation of the Social Economy in the Euro Region Galicia-North of Portugal, in order to generate and consolidate employment through the implementation of pilot programs for the competitiveness and boost of social economy companies.

The meeting discussed the theme of eco-tourism and social entrepreneurship, allowing us to realize that we can be social entrepreneurs if we do something for nature and for the preservation of natural ecosystems. Many environmental businesses can benefit future generations and thus build a better world. The central themes of the project’s design meeting and preparation of a balance of all activities developed so far. In the end, everyone was unanimous in considering that new conduct is imposed on man, both from a social and environmental point of view.

To continue all the work developed throughout the project and present the conclusions drawn from more than two years of joint work, from institutions from various European countries, with perspectives, cultures, different habits, it was possible to build a joint path. The results of this path were presented at a conference held at the end of the work, in the Auditorium of EPRALIMA. Several elements of the educational community and the civil community were present, who were able to perceive the objectives of this project.

Is proud of participation in this project, we as organizations intend to have a better world, in which the design of ecotourism and social entrepreneurship will allow us to have a promising future and more committed to future generations and to the creation of a new generation based on solidarity and environmental principles.
