Transnational Project Meeting in Tisno, Croatia

Transnational Project Meeting in Tisno, Croatia, 4 – 7 November, 2021

The main aim of the project meeting was sharing good practices, finalising LA1 results, prepare progress report and plan future activities.

From 4-7 November 2021, as part of the meeting of the coordinators of the project “European Heritage for Youth Involvement and Entrepreneurship – Heritage for Youth” in the municipality of Tisno, we hosted representatives of project partners from Italy, Spain, Portugal and Romania. The aim of the meeting was to review the current implementation of the project and plan future activities that will take place until the spring of 2022.

As this project, funded by EU funds under the ERASMUS + program, also deals with the preservation and promotion of natural and cultural heritage and ecological and sustainable tourism with special emphasis on young people, we used this visit to show good practices on these topics at the local level. In Betina, the participants were able to find out how the Museum of Betina Wooden Shipbuilding successfully deals with these topics, and in addition to the permanent exhibition and open-air museum, they also visited the shipyard Ćiro, which completes the story of Betina’s heritage of wooden shipbuilding tradition.

After visiting the the old town of Šibenik, the participants were hosted in their premises by representatives of the EU Youth Association and introduced to their work and projects. During the trip to the island of Zlarin, the participants met with representatives of Zlarin family farms, but also learned more about the future coral center, which will be similar to the Betina example, a center for preserving local tradition and its interpretation. The meeting concluded with a visit and dinner in another example of a successful interpretation of heritage – Mašković Han.

Thanks to the participants for coming and participating in the meeting, as well as to everyone who helped in its realization!
